DFMEA Engineer:
A DFMEA Engineer (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) is an engineering consultant who uses the AIAG (Automotive Industry Action Group) standards to identify potential failure modes and their effects in the development of products and processes. The DFMEA Engineer will use the PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) to identify the cause of failure and develop corrective actions to prevent and detect the failure. Validation and testing are then used to verify the effectiveness of the corrective actions. To ensure compliance with customer requirements, the DFMEA Engineer will review the specifications and the requirements to make sure the design meets the customer's needs.
